“Keywords” have become a major focus for all the website administrators who consider Search Engine Optimization to be an essential tool for making the website a real success. Most of non web people who work with these keywords are in fact, not familiar with the actual Keyword concept. Some people believe that keywords are just single words, while other believe that keywords can be long phrases as well. In all this uncertainty, people are distracted from the central idea of Search Engine Optimization and are not even able to satisfy the basic requirements.

I’ve been ask this quesiton lately and found a lot online regarding the subject. We all are familiar with the World Wide Web that was invented by Tim Berners Lee and Al Gore (smirk) but now with the advancements in warp technology we have been introduced to a brand new version, “Web 3.0″. People were not even fully acquainted with Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 and now it’s the new version also known as Semantic Web. Some people have the misconception that Web 2.0 and the Semantic Web is the same thing. Let’s clarify… Web 2.0 is the dynamic version of World Wide Web that facilitates people to share information online and incorporates several standards like RUBY, SOAP, XHTML and lots more. However, the main focus of simplifying Web 2.0 is that the new Semantic Web and the Web 2.0 have major differences.

XML stands for extensive mark up language; it is a language much like HTML. It is not a replacement of HTML; both languages were designed for different goals. HTML was designed to display data, an XML was designed to transport and store data. The focus of HTML is how the data looks like while the focus of XML is what the data is.
